Things I believe
about clothes
The founder
Tarisha Jain
Tarisha Jain is the founder and creative director of Cee Jay, established in 2026 following her studies in Fashion Design at Parsons School of Design, New York. Raised in Jaipur within a family of textile printers, her work is informed by a lifelong proximity to Indian textiles, printing processes, and the people behind them.
Her approach is grounded in a belief that true luxury is personal, defined by individuality, human skill and the rarity of something that cannot be replicated. This philosophy finds its strongest expression in aachara, a material Tarisha first began experimenting with in 2021 and one that continues to shape Cee Jay’s identity.
Through Cee Jay, Tarisha brings this perspective into a global fashion context, building a label that places Indian material culture within a new and distinctly modern visual language.
A stain with a good story deserves better PR
A little evidence of life never hurt an outfit.
I believe a new outfit can fix an unreasonable number of problems.
Not all of them, obviously. But enough to keep trying.
I respect minimalism from a distance
Personally, I’ll take texture, layers and a little more than necessary.
